Off Grid Community
Look at our community project pages to see what we are running at the moment; remember whilst we have charges for some of the sessions we run, if you are a low income family, please contact us directly, as we want all our projects to be accessible to everyone:

To allow children the chance to play like children should regardless of their physical ability- outside in all weathers, getting dirty, using their imagination & what nature provides as their toys.
We want to create a place where the whole community can benefit, providing a space for the community to access and let their children play, learn and develop within.
Off Grid Community CIC (we are in the process of applying to change to a Charity) is a not for profit community project that aim to reconnect children back with playing outdoors in a woodland environment regardless of physical ability.
We have an area of urban woodlands which was derelict and overgrown, now we have created a place for children of all ages to play and explore.
Within this area, we are re-introducing native plants & tree’s, creating living hedges & have planted a mini orchard.
We run toddler & parent sessions, playgroups for 2 year olds, family sessions with children with an ASN, home educating groups, Friday and Saturday Clubs for Autistic children who can play with minimal support and Supported Sessions with SupERkids and Inclusive Support, for children who do need support play in the woods.
We want to make a space which is accessible for all, so we are in the process of making the woods more wheelchair friendly with paths, dens, mud kitchens, growing and sensory spaces and a room in the woods to enable our most vulnerable children a space to shelter, and a composting toilet which is accessible for wheelchair users.
We hope this will be completed by January 2022.
